Description
Brisa Elver Knife with Sheath (Scandi Grind, Curly Birch Scales)
This is a completed knife with leather sheath, and not a kit.
Curly birch version of the popular Brisa Elver, the "small game" version of the Trapper.
This knife consists of
- High quality Brisa Elver 85 blade, 01 Carbon Steel
- Handle is in Curly Birch with brass corby bolts
- Leather sheath, in thick Spanish leather
The Elver blade from Brisa is a very sharp, Finish blade with great edge geometry for cutting. The Elver has a well rounded handle and a shorter blade for precision small game dressing, whittling and general camp chores. This is the Scandi Grind version, in 01 Carbon Steel.
The blade is about 3.5 mm thick, about 23 mm wide and has about 85 mm of blade, total length of knife is 190 mm.
The blade is in 01 Carbon Tool Steel, a popular outdoor knife steel with good edge retention. The wide Scandi Grind makes it ideal as a field blade, easier to accurately hand sharpen as the entire bevel is placed flat on the stone or diamond sharpener.
The handle scales are in arctic Curly Birch for a clean look. Curly Birch is a traditional handle material in Scandinavia, used for centuries in knives and other hand tools.
The leather sheath is in rich, thick Spanish leather and holds the knife tightly by friction.
