Description

Chef Knife blade, 205 mm

 Stainless Steel blade made in Japan, polished to a satin finish.

This chef blade comes sharp and ready for handle scales.

The blade has a slightly longer handle than most chef knives.

This super tough and flexible blade has flat ground bevels from 8A Stainless steel.

The blade length is 205 mm (8 1/16"), overall length is 356 mm (14").

The blade is about 2.4 mm thick and about 50 mm wide at the heel.

 

Note the extra long handle on this blade, most of our handle scales are too small.

The curly birch and alder scales will not fit, neither will any of the micarta or Juma scales.et

Either get a large set of scales, or get a large block and saw in two lengthwise.

 

To create a knife with this blade blank,

add some knife scales and optionally bolts/pins and some inlays between the steel and handle scales.

Use 5/16" cutlery rivets or 1/8" pin stock to help hold the scales attached.
