Clip Point Skinner with Steel Guard 

The newly redesigned Clip Point Skinner is a hidden tang design that is modeled around the half-tang handle concept. This type of handle design is perfect for use with antler tips, stag rolls, contoured blocks and other full handle treatments. The blade on this model is AUS8 and is 1.35 inches wide at its widest point. The blade length is 5" inches and the thickness is .195". It comes hollow ground, satin finished and has a slide-on steel finger guard with matching .093 inch steel pin. Once sanded, the pin in the guard will virtually disappear, creating a truly professional finish.

The blade is about 4.9 mm thick, about 34 mm wide and 125 mm long. The blade is hardened to 54-56 HRC to be slightly softer, making it easier to field sharpen while skinning and dressing game than harder blades.
This is a good skinner blade and is a fun, affordable and simple knife project to complete. The tang has a pre-drilled .1875 (3/16) inch hole in it for use with standard handle pins, mosaic pins, tubing and other common 3/16 inch diameter materials.

This blade comes in a well presenting gift-box and is produced in China.
