Paul E Arestan is a French knife maker living on the side of mountain outside of Brisbane. Passionate about his craft and wanting to make what he felt was a new, Australian take on the EDC folder he created the Smoko Design folder.
- Blade Steel: 14C28N, Swedish Razor Blade Steel
- Blade Length: 85 mm
- Total Length: 205 mm
- Spring: Z20 steel
- Scales: 304 stainless steel
- Mechanism: Slip-joint (non-locking)
This is the "Emu Walking" version with laser engraved scales in 314 Stainless steel. The engraving is an Aboriginal artwork by Jezz Foster from his painting Emu Walking. This is the first version from Smoko Design and a very limited run.
14C28N is a steel with fine grain structure allowing for a thin, sharp edge at relatively high hardness up towards 60 HRC, while still being easy to sharpen and maintain.
The knives are Australian owned, designed and assembled while the blades are made in France.
Excellent quality and the slim design makes it a pleasure to carry and use all day. Super fast delivery was very much appreciated also - may have to buy the other models now
