Description
Helle Viking Knife Blade, Carbon Steel
Helle has been making knives in the village of Holmdal on the west coast of Norway since the 1930s.
After a bit of a rough start expanding outside of the village, things picked up when they started bicycling the 500 km to Oslo to expand their customer base.
Today Helle export globally but still make everything in the village in Norway.
This is a laminated carbon steel blade for good strength while retaining the traditional Scandinavian blade shape.
The blade length is 110 mm, thickness 3.8 mm and width 23 mm, total length including tang is 225 mm. Traditional Viking knives did not have metal guards or bolsters but if wanting to use one, the R30 can be filed to fit.
