Deluxe Ceramic Knife Sharpener (knife steel) from Taiedea,
This is the black "deluxe" version with black, finer grained ceramic coating, solid steel and synthetic handle and rubber stopper.
Comes in gift box about 50 x 12 x 5 cm in size.
"steeling" knife blades is something professional chefs do every day, if not more than once a day. This does not really sharpen the blade but more re-aligns the edge tip on fine, thin cutting blades. This is a ceramic "steel" for the best of both worlds, it will re-align the edge as well as take off a small amount of steel.
