Description
VG10 SanMai with Stainless Cladding 33 layers, 3 x 40 x 450 mm
Laminated SanMai knife steel with VG10 core.

VG-10 core steel approximately 0,85mm thick. 33 layers on each side
Forging: Forge from 1100 C, do not forge under 1000 C. Anneal if forging.
Annealing: Cool as slowly as possible from 830-880 C (no more than 25 C/hour reduction)
Hardening: Heat to 850 C for 30 mins, then to 1050-1090 C for 10 min, quench in 50 C oil for 63-64 HRC.
Tempering: 2 x 2h at 150-250 C (200 C for 58-60 HRC)
